Presented by SWYP, The Big Grill 2018 will sizzle with succulent steaks, flaming BBQs and a fiery lineup of local and international performances. Debuting at Yas Links Golf Club, on Yas Island, from 6th to 8th December 2018, the event culminates Abu Dhabi Food Festival campaign for 2018 as part of the city efforts to highlight its culinary diversity. Supported by Emirates NBD Gulf Leisure, Dubizzle, Careem, Zomato and JIFF, The Big Grill is expected to draw crowds from across the UAE, uniting foodies in celebration at this unique gathering. Themed as GRILLIN’ ‘N’ CHILLIN, the 3-day event is a weekend of total indulgence serving food, music and festive mayhem.

There’s more than just steaks and BBQ at The Big Grill as the world’s most memorable artists come to town for a nostalgic night. Big Mountain, ABBA MANIA, Abri & Funk Radius, Afro Beats and drummers from KIZA will be there for live performances. Known for their hit single “Baby I love Your Way”, Big Mountain, will give us 2-day concert on Friday and Saturday bringing their popular reggae sounds to revellers. Expect to hear the band’s amazing repertoire including hit songs from their old and most recent albums.

Joining Big Mountain is ABBA MANIA, recognised as the world’s number one touring tribute production. Experience a new wave to old music; don’t miss an evening of reminiscence where the spirit of ABBA comes to life. Saturday Night is a nostalgic one so if you are looking for an excuse to party, we invite you to dig out those platforms, dust down the flares and come join the party, sing along to your old time favourites including: ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘Voulez Vous’, ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Winner Takes It All’.

Friday features UAE’s funk, reggae, neo-soul and R&B band – Abri & Funk Radius, who will open up for Big Mountain. With vocalist Hamdan Abri at the realm, expect the band to bring its astounding energy and vocals for a great performance. Two successful albums, international tours and myriad of appearances alongside artists such as Erykah Badu, Ziggy Marley, Arrested Development, Kanye West, Joss Stone etc, Abri & Funk Radius continue to captivate its audience every time they are on stage.

Thursday Night marks the official opening of The Big Grill festival 2018. Presented by KIZA, authentic African Restaurant, this Afro Night will embody the true essence of the motherland. Showcasing best of African beats and music, live stage performances and DJs expect sounds of drums to echo throughout the venue. Bring out your wild side; don your masai warrior spirit and African themed costume for a chance to win prizes on the night. Come celebrate the season’s food festival finale at Yas Links Golf Club.

This is a family affair, so young and old, there’s something for everyone. A designated play area is furnished with obstacle course, interactive games, bouncy castles, play pens and more to keep the little “grillers” busy. Children can enjoy plenty of competitions and activities throughout the event.

GRILLING

Convergence of grillers, this saucy affair serves delicious options of sizzling BBQs, mouth-watering steaks and juicy burgers with virgin and non-virgin beverages to wash down those sinful temptations. Ultimate madness of grilling fun awaits at The Big Grill 2018.
