Bay Avenue, the unique retail destination by Dubai Retail, is set to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights with a Friday full of exciting activities, ideal for families with children. Diwali, the popular Indian festival marks the victory of good over evil.
On 9 November, hostesses wearing traditional ‘sarees’ will welcome guests to the vibrant venue, which will host a wide variety of entertainment acts, including traditional dandiya and banghra/dhol troop dance performances taking place at a central stage surrounded by traditional seating.
In a series of authentic craft workshops, visitors can try their hand at rangoli, the well-known art form that uses coloured powders to create vibrant decorative patterns, as well as learn how to make paper lanterns, all under the guidance of talented artists.
Kids are guaranteed to be kept entertained with a bustling carnival games area, a roaming magician and hourly puppet shows, along with paper-plate rangoli and paper lantern making activities.
Bay Avenue’s Diwali festivities are a testimony to the UAE’s legacy of being a melting pot for diverse communities and cultures.
